Margaret Kogan lives and writes in Brooklyn, where she grew up and where her grandchildren are the sixth generation of her family to live. She has been writing poetry since she was 10 years old. She says, “Poetry is an emergency.”
Margaret is an ordained lay Buddhist teacher in the Vietnamese Zen tradition.
Steppingstones, her third book, will be published in September. Like her first two books, Motherland and No Witnesses, Steppingstones will be available on Amazon. True Confessions, a collection of all new work, will be published in 2027.
